My photography wishlist
Brian on Epic Edit has made a post about his photography wishlist and challenged the readers to make their own. So here is mine as a post instead of a comment ;)
- S-M-C Takumar 300mm/4 or other long tele prime
I had one but sold it. Would really like to shoot images of birds and wildlife. Actually I would be ok with a modern one here. But I would need… - A new tripod
Hade on but had to sell it :/ Arggh. - A Takumar-version of 85mm/1.8
Had one but had to sell it. I love the Auto-Takumar 85mm/1.8

- A good Yashica Electro 35 GSN
I like the Electro, but the one I own is smashed (by previous owner). - Pentax K20D or Canon EOS 50D
My EOS 350D is ok… I can live with it. But gosh now it would feel nice to upgrade. I like Pentax but I need to keep using my Contax/Yashica-lenses so I guess Canon is the way to go. - A 120mm-format TLR or SLR
I have a Agfa Isolette V, but I would really like a Yashica-Mat or Mamiya or something larger and a with a focus of some kind.
Sometimes we are just stuck on repeat (Anemone hepatica)
Some time of year I just can’t stay away from certain motifs. Leafs in the autumn. Summer morning light. Flowers in the spring. Flowing water. Fog. Some obsessions ;) Well, here’s a flower – hope you don’t get tired. I guess after the winter here it’s so good to see the nature awaken.
Shot with Super-Takumar 28mm/3.5 or Yashinon-DX 50mm/1.7 with some ring.
Hepatica nobilis with Super-Takumar 28mm/3.5 and macroring
This is the time of springflowers in Sweden. Anemone hepatica (“blåsippa”) and Anemone nemorosa (“vitsippa”) is two common ones that covers the ground here. I discovered that the Super-Takumar 28mm/3.5 with different lengths of macrorings/extenders makes for a good tool shooting pictures of flora. Wideangle close to the flowers gives an interesting field of view to play with. This was made in the spring, and I have more coming…
Easter sunrise with Yashica ML 35mm/2.8
In the end of last week I took a bicycleride to the national park here in Garphyttan. On the way I stopped a few times and watched this lightshow in the woods. Some photographs were made with the Yashica ML 35mm/2.8 lens on my Canon-camera. Here is the first, more will come…
Want to buy Retrocamera.net?
I’m thinking about selling this site, if your interested send me an email with an offer. Oh and I have an Auto-Takumar 85mm/1.8 for sale to :)
Production of singlecoated Takumars refired
There was an announcement today about the restarted production of singlecoated, manual Takumar-lenses with M42 mount. Great news for us Takumarfans!
“We realized the small cult rising around the Takumar-series“, spokesman Snel Focman says. “And we felt the need to get some of the action instead of people just buying old, used copies.”
In modern time you need accurate information about the lenses capability, so the focal-lengths will be 34.49mm, 51.3mm, 84.43mm, 102.8mm.
