New lens: Yashica ML 50mm/1.4

Today I got this mice package from c-hylse with a Yashica ML 50mm/1.4 in prefect condition :) I went outside and tried a few shots. It felt good but I’m not used to the f1.4 yet so many of the shots were to short depth.

My latest lens – The Yashica MC zoom 35-70mm 3.5-4.5

This is the lates lens I purchased. It’s a Yashica zoom, in new condition and I think it has very good optics. Related to the Contax 35-70?

Auto-Takumar 85mm/1.8 on Spotmatic

Just a nice little portrait of one favorite lens, the Asahi Opt.Co. Auto-Takumar 85mm/1.8. As usual the Spotmatic acts cameramodel for the Asahi-lenses (since I need the DSLR to create the image ;) ).

Pentax Spotmatic with S-M-C Takumar 55mm/1.8

One of the nicest lenses in my Asahi collection. It’s a common lens, but veeeeery nice. Buy one! ;)
If you want more about Takumar lenses it’s a good idea to register on www.takumar.org or www.pentaxforums.com.

Asahi Super-Takumar 135mm/3.5 on Pentax Spotmatic – beautiful old camera

This is the Asahi Pentax Spotmatic with Super-Takumar 135mm/3.5 (M42 mount offcourse). Nice old camera and lens. It’s very pretty, I’m thinking of making this into a wallpaper. What do you think?
Oh, by the way, the image is shot with Yashica ML 50mm/2 on Canon EOS 350D.

A new Asahi arrival

Just want to show off my new S-M-C Takumar 300mm/4 :) This is not the best image, but I think it shows the size of the lens. Eventhough the hood is not extracted. I photographed the whole Pentax-collection tonight so more (and better) pictures will be published.

A busy weekend with hiking, Yashica and Pentax

This weekend I have been hiking for over 12 hours in steep landscape of Kilsbergen where I live, taking photographs with most of my Yashica and Pentax-gear. A lot of pictures to sort through and aching legs to rest, but then some tests will be posted here :)

The early Tokina that came with my Spotmatic

About a week ago I bought a Pentax Spotmatic with three lenses and lots of good accessorie. The Pentax S-M-C Takumar 55mm/1.8 that came along I new was gonna be good. But there were some surprises too, specially a Tele-Tokina 105mm/2.8, a preset adaptall lens. It really creates sharp, nice images. The only thing I’m unsure about is the colour saturation (colour pictures will be published later on).

Here is a B&W shot of my daughter learning to eat.

Beginning autumn with Yashica ML 35mm/2.8

Took the Yashica ML 35mm/2.8 out in the woods the other day. Just wanted to show how sharp it can be.
