Some time ago wee hade a good concert with Jasmin Kara in our village. A good opportounity to shoot sime pictures with my old Takumar lenses, while enjoying the music and perfomence.

August 15 is world Pentax day, where Pentax users around the world photographs on the same day. The result is shown of at Pentaxforums.com, if you want to participate.

Yesterday I bicycled round lake Tysslingen and made this image of whooper swans with Super-Takumar 135mm/3.5 M42-lens on Canon EOS 350D. The swans here are an attraction for wildlifephotographers every year, and they were lined up at the fence with their big tele AF-lenses… all getting the same image I guess, of the same birds and with the same weird look on their faces when they looked upon my little Takumar ;)

I might have the chance to go and see a lot of classic cars (and cameras) next week. It’s the fair in Örebro, Sweden, that occures twice a year. I always had trouble doing good images there because of light and the crowd. But I’ll take on the on the challenge once again ;)

There was an announcement today about the restarted production of singlecoated, manual Takumar-lenses with M42 mount. Great news for us Takumarfans!

“We realized the small cult rising around the Takumar-series“, spokesman Snel Focman says. “And we felt the need to get some of the action instead of people just buying old, used copies.”

In modern time you need accurate information about the lenses capability, so the focal-lengths will be 34.49mm, 51.3mm, 84.43mm, 102.8mm.

On tuesday I open my exhibition with photos in Sweden. Most of them are shot with manual lenses, often shown here on Retrocamera.net

The name of the exhibition translates as “Chiaroscuro”, which sounds like a weird word to me. Sounds easier in swedish, “Ljusdunkel” ;)
