This winter dusk will make the warm and cold part 2 in my series. The deep bue was partly accomplished by linear polarizer (the once we’re often told don’t work well on DSLRs).

I’m thinking I’ll make a series out of this theme, the warm and the cold. I got lot’s of the glowing sun in the heavy snowlandscape. I like the symbolism in this, when things feels blue and cold you can probably fins a piece of golden light somewhere ;)

I think this was shot with Yashica 35mm/2.8, however I’m not certain. I almost got stuck there, with a leg dissapeared completely in the snow.

I think it’s an interesting experiment to point your lens to the sun. Shows if these old things have this possibility. Ad did some experimenting at my last photowalk since I forgot some filters I had planned to use. It’s is winter and very cold here in Sweden. Lots, lots of snow. Sometime up to my waistline. But it was worth it. If not for the pictures for the experience. Here is a picture shot with Yashica MC Zoom 35-70 (if I remember correct) into the sun.

Some winter berries with Super-Takumar 85mm/1.8. I feel a little bit like they look at the moment. Wish it could be summer soon, with more daylight and possibility to exercise in nature. It would be great with some more energy.

The art of winter photography is really hard. Big contrasts for the camera, snow and ice and shadows. Most of the days I work for the few hours we have daylight. If I’m lucky, I’ll get time to shoot some pictures at lunchbreak or in the weekend.

I have been making pictures for upcoming reviews for some time. It is a couple of my favorite lenses which I actually haven’t written about yet – the Yashica ML 35mm/2.8 and the Asahi Super-Takumar 85mm/1.9. One wide and one short tele (well, normal and tele if you count the “crop-factor” on my digital Canon camera – making the canvas larger).

A taste of the Yashica 35mm… quite nice for both bokeh and sharp images.

I have started to publish wallpapers shot with manual lenses on our swedish development site, http://designbilder.se/desktop. The first one out is a pictures from the lake the other day, a tree with fog. If you have suggestion for backgrounds let me know :)

Yesterday I took my old Pentacon 50mm/1.8 and pointed it to the sun. Behind the leafs I could control the visual effects a bit. I wanted to do something different then all the pictures of autumnleafs I do every year.

Every year I get cought up in the autumn bokeh again, the leafs turning red. It is one year ago I did the same thing with the Auto-Takumar 85mm/1.9, this year it’s Super-Takumar 85mm/1.9. It’s bokeh suits me for this type of images. I just hope I can grow as photographer even if the motifs are the same ;)

This time of year the flower is a motif easy to get stuck on. There are so many, so nice with bokeh. We miss them during the winter in Sweden. Then comes the autumn and a lot of images show autumn leafs ;) Well, here are some more flowers I portraied in the City park in Örebro. They are made with Helios 44-3 and S-M-C Takumar 55mm/1.8 lenses and Canon EOS 350D (and a M42->EOS adapter of course). Guess which is which?
