Renewed Flickr account today

I renewed my Flickr account today to Pro. I use Flickr and Ipernity, so I use double webservice image storage/communities. I like Ipernity where also are a translator to my language, but many of my old images are linked from my websites to Flickr since I have used their pro-account for a few years. A later image is this leaf with drops, photographed with the lens Asahi Super-Takumar 85mm/1.9 on my Canon.

Tha random post box plugin

You might have noticed the little box below the first post on this blog? It is the random post box plugin, which I made and submitted to WordPress. It loads a new random post every X seconds with fading effects. The effects and timing and postselection is possible to control with the WordPress Options-page.

Do you want a blog?

Do you want a blog at yourname.manualphoto.com? I’ve had this idea to do something with that domain and since I work a lot with WordPress and WordPress MU (like the ones used for Retrocamera and WordPress.com) at the moment. Why not start a blogservice.

It would of course be limited both in number of blogs and space, but I think it’s an interesting option for those who can feel a connection with the domain name. So step number 1: is there any interest in such a service?

A new job

I’ve been hired for a new job that’s keeping me somewhat occupied at the moment. And when one get leave in the morning and get home at night it’s dark outside, normal here in Sweden in the winter but hard to photograph then ;) I’ll be back soon with some reviews of old lenses though (the Yashica ML 35mm/2.8 and Super-Takumar 85mm/1.9 awaits)…

Some new designwork

As you might hace noticed I’m doing some new designwork on this site, brushing up since I have more to write about and want it to look good :) How many of you read this, you think? Well, even when I’m not writing there are about 150 unique visitors every day – that says something about the interest for this subject of old photography equipment and the art created with it. Inspiring!

Do you have ideas on what could be nice to have on the site? Please contact me with ideas I can incorporate in the new design.

Retrocamera lost in cyberspace?

Last night I was gong to post some pictures on the blog, to my chock I discovered that there was another page at this domain. Turned out that there was an error when the domain-address should have been renewed. Thanks to the great support on my webhost (swedish) the website was up and running in the early morning again! Great! :) It even went far enogh for me to change avatar and name on flickr! *phew*

I’ll be back with more pictures soon… planning on some new stuff here.

The mysterious dive

I was just wondering why my statistics dived. Now I discovered my htaccess-file was broken so no links on the site worked *doh*
Well, it’s fixed now anyways.

I’m giving WordPress 2.7 RC 1 a try on Retrocamera.net, I have also installed new statistic in the Piwik application. In the future maybe I’ll get some new exciting features to the blog :)
