My wife on colourfilm, scanned and converted to black and white. Daydreaming?

This is from the beginning of the millenia. I had very limited technical know-how about cameras and photography. I borrowed my mother in laws camera and lens (unknown SLR from the 70′s). Shot this on colourfilm. Some years later I scanned it. Now I have converted it to black and white in Photoshop.

I kind of like it. I think I did as good as I could with my training as a painter/artist, and if I was lucky I had used the camera right and it turned out good. Quite often though, it turned ut in many other ways ;)

the photo of your wife Sara is wonderful. Good job. I’m curious about the Helios lens . I’ve been taking pictures for fifty years and I’ve heard the name but don’t know a thing about them. I’m assuming here in the USA I’d be able to find adapters etc. I also have a Canon 350D Thanks for the photos and your info on the Helios line. Steve B.

Hi and thanks :) The Helios 44 is a soviet lens. I have a 44-3 with M42-mount (normal Pentax screwmount). Try to get one with M42-mount as they are easiest to adapt. You should find them on ebay I guess, or fleemarkets. Oh, and sorry for the late answer. You can always get more info on forum.mflenses.com too, a lot of people there use Helios lenses.
