All Pentax lenses

I got a newsletter from pentaxforum stating that they now have all pentax lenses ever produced in their database. You might want to check it out :) They are missing photos of a few, so maybe you can help them out.

Autumn with Super-Takumar 85mm/1.9

I have shot some autumn with Super-Takumar 85mm/1.9, classic portrait M42-lens from Asahi (Pentax).

I like the contrast of sharp leafs to soft bokeh. The autumn colors I love, but sometimes it pays to go black and white I think. Do the opposit to the common way, our your own routine.

Drawings and paintings

I’ve started a group at Ipernity for Drawings and paintings – welcome to join if you want. I know – a bit outside the scope of this site about photography and cameras, but this work is a big thing for my photography. From the beginning I am a painter and I get a lot of my ideas, composition, feeling, inspiration from the history of art and from my own work. I think it is a good thing – an image is an image and people have been creating them since long before the photography of today.

Here you see a slideshow of my album with drawings and paintings.

World Pentax day

Renewed Flickr account today

I renewed my Flickr account today to Pro. I use Flickr and Ipernity, so I use double webservice image storage/communities. I like Ipernity where also are a translator to my language, but many of my old images are linked from my websites to Flickr since I have used their pro-account for a few years. A later image is this leaf with drops, photographed with the lens Asahi Super-Takumar 85mm/1.9 on my Canon.

Inspired trip with the Helios 44-3

I made an inspired trip with the Helios 44-3 the other day, after I got some questions from Ali in the comments to my review of the lens (one of my first manual lenses and reviews by the way). I got out early one morning, but the result was … ok. Since I have not photographed for a while I guess I need to work some to get mojo back. But I’m quite happy with this shot, into the dawn with the MC Helios 44-3 58mm/2. It also made me photographer of the day at twitter.com/photoandpicture.

Back after an accident

I’m back after an accident with my bike, a trip with ambulance and some stitches in my thigh. Last weekend I took a walk and went back to fetch my bicycle and shoot some images during the walk. The first one is shot with Yashica MC Zoom 35-70mm/3.5-4.5 (like the bokeh of this lens, however you must have good light to focus it right), the other one with S-M-C Takumar 55mm/1.8. Edited with GIMP, since I’m using Linux at the moment. Swedish summer is here, and vacations soon. My leg is starting to work again so I can’t wait to get out in nature and make more images!

The range of a lens

It’s quite fantastic what photos can be done in the artistic range of a lens. My Yashica ML 35mm/2.8 is a nice landscape lens but also very good for closeups, sometimes soft but in the picture below sparkling. In the springtime it nice for catching the flowers without that exaggerated wideangle that is so trendy now.
